Zoom into a playing video with your MacBook trackpad or Apple Magic Trackpad.
Zoom while the video keeps playing
Open a video in Zoom Video Player and use a pinch gesture on your trackpad to enlarge the image. Pan across the enlarged image to inspect a detail without exporting the clip or switching to a video editor.
Choose a useful level of detail
Maximum zoom follows the resolution of your source video. Actual Size displays one source pixel per screen pixel. Enlarging a low-resolution recording does not recover details that were never recorded.
Trackpad and mouse controls
The app supports pinch and pan with a trackpad or mouse. For a specific region, hold Option and drag a rectangle. Use frame stepping when motion makes the detail difficult to inspect.
